Job Summary

Location: CVG200

Shift: Sunday-Tuesday every other Wednesday 6pm-6am

The Manufacturing Engineer II at Jabil Inc. will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining manufacturing processes to ensure the efficient and cost-effective production of high-quality products. This role focuses on optimizing manufacturing methods, improving yields, and supporting new product introductions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling.

  • Optimize existing manufacturing processes for efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.

  • Conduct root cause analysis for manufacturing defects and implement corrective actions.

  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, and control plans.

  • Support new product introduction (NPI) activities from prototype to full production, ensuring manufacturability.

  • Collaborate with design engineering, quality assurance, and production teams to resolve manufacturing issues.

  • Perform time studies and capacity analysis to identify bottlenecks and optimize production flow.

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in all manufacturing processes.

  • Provide technical support and training to production personnel.


Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably within a high-volume manufacturing environment.

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including assembly, testing, and automation.

  • Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.

  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for fixture and tooling design.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

  • Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools.

  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems is a plus.
