Job Summary

Jabil, Inc. is seeking a passionate and driven Automation Team Intern to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of automation solutions across various manufacturing and operational processes. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic global manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities

* Assist in the research, design, and prototyping of automation solutions, including robotic systems, automated testing platforms, and data acquisition systems.
* Support the integration of new automation hardware and software into existing production lines.
* Contribute to the development and debugging of control programs (e.g., PLC, Python, C#) for automated equipment.
* Participate in testing and validation of automation systems to ensure functionality, reliability, and safety.
* Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to automated equipment and processes.
* Document automation designs, configurations, and operating procedures.
* Collaborate with engineering teams, production staff, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions.
* Conduct basic data analysis to identify areas for automation improvement and efficiency gains.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.

Job Qualifications**

* Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Industrial) or a related technical field.
* Basic understanding of automation concepts, robotics, and control systems.
* Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, C#, Java, Ladder Logic).
* Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and challenges.
* Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
