Job Summary:**

Jabil, Inc. is seeking a talented and experienced Liquid Cooling Design Engineer to develop innovative thermal management solutions for advanced electronic systems. This role involves the design, analysis, and optimization of liquid cooling systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability of high-power density products.

Job Responsibilities:**

* Lead the design and development of liquid cooling systems from concept to production, including cold plates, pumps, heat exchangers, manifolds, and associated plumbing.
* Perform detailed thermal and fluid dynamic simulations (CFD) to predict performance, optimize designs, and identify potential issues.
* Conduct experimental validation of liquid cooling designs through prototyping, testing, and data analysis.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineers to integrate liquid cooling solutions into overall product designs.
* Define and select appropriate materials, components, and manufacturing processes for liquid cooling systems, considering cost, performance, and reliability.
* Develop and implement testing methodologies and procedures for liquid cooling systems, including performance, reliability, and safety evaluations.
* Analyze test data, troubleshoot issues, and propose corrective actions or design improvements.
* Stay abreast of the latest advancements in liquid cooling technologies and apply them to Jabil's product development.
* Generate detailed design documentation, including specifications, drawings, and assembly instructions.
* Participate in design reviews and provide technical expertise to internal and external stakeholders.

Job Qualifications:**

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in the design and development of liquid cooling systems for electronic devices or similar high-power applications.
* Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics.
* Proficiency in CFD software (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, COMSOL, Star-CCM+) for thermal and fluid dynamic analysis.
* Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA) for mechanical design and modeling.
* Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and validation of liquid cooling systems.
* Familiarity with various liquid coolants, materials, and manufacturing processes relevant to liquid cooling.
* Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for liquid cooling system design and reliability.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal) to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
* Ability to travel occasionally as required.
