JOB SUMMARY

Manage through Lean Six Sigma (LSS) managers and staff, the successful use of LSS concepts and tools into operations within a division. Drive the strategic and tactical action plans and projects to achieve Jabil’s LSS Mission. Ensure LSS project portfolios are included into lean Council to accomplish measurable business process improvements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ALIGN – LSS Vision Strategy and Tactical Implementation:
·    Work with each site’s PLM, Ops Mgr and Lean Deployment Mgr to ensure plants have effective visual management systems that link strategic vision to tactical execution, using Blue Walls and X-Matrix’s.
·    Offer effective LSS tools, systems, guidance, training and methodologies to site leadership teams to increase Jabil’s value stream transformation model.
·    Support training for site team members on LSS tools, including Black Belt program (After receiving ASQ Black Belt certification).
·    Manage the mobilization and motivation actions of VP’s, Ops Mgrs, Plant LSS Mgrs, process owners and users in their Lean Deployment being the Lead “Change Agent” for LSS.
·    Direct communications on LSS Metrics and results to Sr Management.
·    Work with site PLMs and Ops Mgrs to ensure link to Jabil’s Global LSS Deployment Strategy.
DEPLOY – LSS Vision, Strategy, and Tactical Implementation:
·    Track and analyze Jabil metrics to identify opportunities for improvement; work with team to drive successful design and implementation of solutions.
·    Work closely with site controller to estimate, track, and validate financial costs and benefits of LSS projects and activities.
·    Drive effective LSS transformation using Jabil LSS principles, systems, and tools through the strategic deployment process.
·    Train, support and mentor Lean Champion, Bronze, and Silver training and LSS Black Belt training as needed.
·    Lead and teach effective use of Kaizen Events to drive a Lean transformation.
·    Benchmark Jabil Sites and other companies to develop Jabil capabilities increasing knowledge and skill sets.
·    Regulate, communicate, imitate and advise best practices across all plants and divisions.
COACH/ENABLE – LSS Vision, Strategy and Tactical Implementation:
·         Ensure that Jabil’s education & training curriculum & content meets the needs of the sites and work with the Global Lean Team to develop and improve training material.
·         Provide Site Assessments to assess their Lean Deployment strategy and effectiveness.
·         Support site & divisional management’s annual operating plan by identifying key improvement priorities to enhance site and Jabil performance in the eyes of all stakeholders
·         Perform and document Lean Deployment Manager coaching and development on a regular basis. Ensure all new plant lean managers complete the On-boarding process.
·         Increase deployment knowledge, skills and effectiveness through reading of book, seminar attendance and visiting companies outside of Jabil. Explore and review Best Practices so that they can be incorporated and deployed across all sites as needed.
·         Encourage cross training, skills assessment, instructional goals, on-the-job training, teamwork, information sharing, suggestion systems to strengthen and accelerate lean transformation
·         Ensure compliance with all company policies and practices in areas such as safety and all regulatory compliance.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

·         Experienced in successfully deploying Lean and Six Sigma Lean Six Sigma Principles, System, Tools, Training and Methodologies.
·         Excellent Leadership and Communication Skills
·         Track record showing continual improvement of personal skills
·         Proficient and knowledgeable in all areas related of operations.
·         Results-driven change agent
·         Effective communicator. Able to communicate in all media forms and cross –culturally
·         Strong analytical skills
·         Detail oriented with a strong organizational approach to work and in managing data
·         Ability to influence all levels of the Jabil organization
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

·         Bachelor’s in IE, Ops Research or related field preferred
·         8 to 10 years experience in Manufacturing Mgmt, Engineering Mgmt, or Project Mgmt
·         5 years working in global and multifunctional environments
·         Minimum Black Belt certified by recognized organizations in industry (e.g. ASQ, SME, Shingo Prize)
·         Project and facilitation experience in heavily matrixed environment
·         Change Management experience
·         Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience
WORKING CONDITIONS

·         Regular business hours. Some additional hours may be required.
·         Travel requirements: Domestic and/or International: Up to 50%
·         Climate controlled office environment during normal business hours.
