Job Summary**

The Automation Jr. Engineer will support the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of automation solutions within Jabil's manufacturing environment. This role involves assisting senior engineers in optimizing production processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring high-quality output through automated systems.

Job Responsibilities**

* Assist in the design, development, and testing of automation systems, including robotics, PLCs, HMIs, and vision systems.
* Support the installation, calibration, and troubleshooting of automated equipment on the production floor.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., production, maintenance, quality) to identify automation opportunities and implement solutions.
* Participate in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including schematics, programming logic, and operational manuals.
* Conduct routine maintenance and preventative checks on automation systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
* Assist in the analysis of production data to identify areas for improvement and propose automation solutions.
* Learn and apply industry best practices and safety standards in all automation activities.
* Provide technical support and training to production operators on automated equipment.

Job Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
* Basic understanding of PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI development.
* Familiarity with robotic systems and industrial automation principles.
* Knowledge of electrical schematics and control systems.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) is a plus.
