SUMMARY


The Material Handler is responsible for receiving, verifying, storing, and distributing materials to support manufacturing operations. This role ensures inventory accuracy, timely material availability, and efficient material flow by utilizing ERP systems, RF scanners, forklifts, and other material handling equipment while adhering to safety, quality, and inventory control standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the receipt of incoming materials, including unloading shipments, verifying quantities and documentation, and performing system transactions to ensure inventory accuracy.

  • Receive, store, stage, and issue materials to support production schedules and operational requirements.

  • Perform inventory and material transactions using ERP systems and RF scanning devices.

  • Transport materials safely using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other approved equipment.

  • Verify material quantities, part numbers, and inventory accuracy prior to issuance.

  • Support line-side replenishment, inventory control, cycle counts, and stock audits.

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure compliance with FIFO and traceability requirements.

  • Load, unload, and move materials and finished goods throughout the facility.

  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse and production support environment.

  • Adhere to all safety, quality, and operational policies and procedures.



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or material handling operations preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience utilizing ERP systems required; SAP experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience using RF scanners/RF guns for inventory transactions and material tracking preferred.

  • Forklift and pallet jack experience required; certification or ability to obtain certification preferred.

  • Experience supporting manufacturing production environments preferred.

  • Basic computer skills and ability to navigate inventory management and manufacturing systems.

  • Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions with strong attention to detail.

  • Strong inventory accuracy and organizational skills.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for up to 10-12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Mechanical lifting devices and team lifts may be utilized as needed.

The hourly pay range for this role is $14.86 - $26.73. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
