Job Summary

The Manufacturing Equipment Technician Process Improvement and Systems Specialist is responsible for helping constantly optimize and improve the setup, operation, maintenance, and optimization of Fuji NXT SMT equipment. This role ensures machines are properly configured, maintained, and operated to achieve high throughput, accuracy, and quality standards in PCB assembly processes and meeting and exceeding the set KPI standards.

Key Responsibilities

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of Fuji NXT SMT equipment and related software tools.

  • Proficient in SMT programming, component recognition, and machine vision systems.

  • Hands-on experience with electro-mechanical maintenance and fault diagnosis.

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.

  • Good communication and collaboration skills.

  • Familiarity with Flexa, Nexim, or equivalent SMT management systems.

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced electronics manufacturing floor.

  • May require off-shift work or on-call support during critical production schedules.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

·          Demonstrated Hands-on experience in the required process.
·          Advanced Knowledge in the area that is being assigned.
·          Relentless in exploring new and latest methods in improving assembly techniques.
·          Lead Process and Equipment Evaluation aligned to the needs of Site as assigned by the ME Manager.
·          Knowledge in Basic Statistics and knowledge of carrying a DOE is a plus.
·          Understanding of DFM/A, FMEA and IPC requirements.
·          Able to write technical reports for the Site.

EDUCATION AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma or Associate’s degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, or a related technical field.

  • 4+ years of experience in an SMT manufacturing environment, preferably with Fuji NXT platforms.

  • Or equivalent combination of certifications, experience and education
