Equipment Maintenance Technician I
Location/Division Specific Information
Supports manufacturing operations by performing preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, feeder maintenance, and troubleshooting activities on production equipment. Works in a fast-paced manufacturing environment focused on safety, quality, delivery, and continuous improvement.

You will play a key role in maintaining equipment reliability and minimizing production downtime. By performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and supporting repair activities, you will help ensure efficient manufacturing operations and contribute to overall production performance.
What will you do?
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and support systems.
• Perform feeder maintenance, repairs, and maintenance data tracking activities.
• Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical equipment issues.
• Support repair and restoration activities to minimize equipment downtime.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment according to blueprints, layouts, operating manuals, repair manuals, sketches, and drawings.
• Utilize test and diagnostic equipment to perform equipment evaluations and operational checks.
• Train operators and other employees on the proper operation and basic maintenance of manufacturing equipment, as required.
• May coordinate activities and provide guidance to Maintenance Assistants (MAs).
• Maintain accurate maintenance records utilizing maintenance tracking systems.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability, safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
• Adhere to all safety, environmental, quality, and company policies and procedures.
• Comply with all company security policies and procedures.
• May be required to work overtime and flexible schedules to support business needs.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
How will you get here?
Education:
• Associate degree in Electronics, Electro-Mechanical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical discipline preferred.
• Previous experience as a Maintenance Assistant (MA) may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements.
• Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered.
Experience:
• 0–2 years of maintenance experience, preferably supporting electro-mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting activities preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
• Ability to acquire technical skills and learn company policies and procedures necessary to perform routine maintenance activities.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic understanding of electro-mechanical systems and manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics and measurement techniques.
• Ability to use standard and specialized hand tools, torque tools, and leveling instruments.
• Understanding of electronic color codes and component value identification.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices and requirements.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
• Ability to utilize computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and maintenance tracking software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience supporting SMT, automated manufacturing, or high-volume production equipment.
• Familiarity with feeder maintenance and repair processes.
• Technical training or certifications related to electronics, industrial maintenance, or manufacturing equipment.
