The Regional PLCM Manager leads cross-functional project teams in applying advanced Product Lifecycle Management (PLCM) processes across multiple manufacturing sites within a region. This role is responsible for ensuring strategic alignment with project objectives for product launches, transfers, and mass production, while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement. The manager acts as the primary customer interface, proactively addressing evolving needs and risks, and is accountable for the integrity and effectiveness of PLCM governance, process integration, and stakeholder engagement at the regional level.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution
- Lead project teams in the effective application of NPI/PLCM processes, ensuring tasks are completed on time during every project phase.
- Apply project management principles and techniques (planning, monitoring, risk management, stakeholder engagement) to achieve project success using tools such as Mendix, Celoxis, MS Project, and Smartsheet.
- Provide management and guidance to cross-functional program teams, integrating customer requirements and workstreams across the region.
- Maintain full accountability for project scope, budgets, schedules, risks, issues, execution, and status at the regional level.
- Identify critical paths and priorities, including risk identification and mitigation activities, and take action accordingly.
- Lead and manage Jabil Operating System for NPI meetings and organize Phase Gate Review meetings, ensuring required stakeholders and engineering team representatives are involved.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts during baseline audits and support cross-project audits when cross-account validation is required.
Regional Operations & Manufacturing Excellence
- Accountable for the performance and development of NPI/PLCM project managers across all sites in the region.
- Drive harmonization of NPI/PLCM processes, tools, and best practices region wide.
- Represent the region in Global NPI/PLCM initiatives and ensure alignment with corporate strategies.
- Responsible for regional reporting, escalation, and resolution of project risks and issues.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence across all regional manufacturing operations.
- Oversee product transfers and new product introductions (NPI) from customers or other regional manufacturing sites, ensuring readiness and risk mitigation.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturing standards, operational procedures, and quality requirements across all regional sites.
- Drive continuous improvement through trend analysis, metrics management, and process audits at the regional level.
- Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure seamless integration of new products and process changes.
- Supporter for HR/TA needs for current and future regional requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Act as the primary customer interface for regional projects, ensuring regular and consistent communication between launch teams, business units, and customers.
- Provide leaders and executive management with updates, highlighting opportunities for improvement and driving continuous improvement.
- Design clear and consistent messages for diverse audiences, ensuring relevance and effectiveness of delivery.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure the integrity and effectiveness of NPI/PLCM processes, governance elements, and integration of all involved functional areas within regional projects.
- Comply with company security policies and procedures, and ensure all regional teams adhere to these standards.
Required Knowledge & Skills
NPI/PLCM & Manufacturing Operations Expertise
- Deep understanding of NPI/PLCM procedures, including management of baselines/KPIs, NPI, product transfer, and project execution.
- Compliance of multi-functional components (quality, engineering, test, automation, buyer, supply chain, etc.).
- Knowledge of operating systems, workcell management, engineering and quality tools (FMEA, DFx, control plan, JDOC, JCAS), and internal audit capability.
- Experience with supply chain management, operational and financial analysis, and advanced product quality planning (APQP).
- Ability to challenge processes to achieve KPIs and drive process/product change management.
Project Management & Analytical Skills
- Proficiency in project management principles, techniques, and tools (WBS, Gantt charts, CPM, risk management, project reporting, stakeholder analysis).
- Experience in managing multiple projects and programs in a matrix organization at the regional level.
- Data analysis, financial impact analysis, and statistical analysis (SPC, CPK, MSA).
- Experience with project management software (Mendix, Celoxis, MS Project, Smartsheet).
Leadership & Communication
- Strong leadership, team-building, and consultative skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to design clear messages for diverse audiences.
- Ability for people development, motivate and influence others without authority.

Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum +5 years of supervisory/management experience in manufacturing operations.
- Minimum +10 years of project management experience or related discipline.
- PMP certification required.
- Prior experience in customer interface and supply chain management.
- Experience working in a matrix organization and with business units in a manufacturing environment.
Ideal Background

- Prior engineering, technical, quality, or planning background (internal or external).
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and certifications in relevant industries (electronics, automotive, mechanics, plastics, medical, defense, aerospace).
- Experience interacting and working with business units and different functions in a manufacturing environment.
