Job Summary**

The Assembly Jr. Engineer II at Jabil, Inc. supports manufacturing operations by assisting in the development, optimization, and maintenance of assembly processes and equipment. This role involves contributing to problem-solving, continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring product quality and efficiency on the production floor.

Job Responsibilities**

* Assist in the design, development, and implementation of new assembly processes and equipment.
* Support the optimization of existing assembly processes for improved efficiency, cost reduction, and quality.
* Participate in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to assembly equipment and processes.
* Conduct root cause analysis for assembly defects and implement corrective actions.
* Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
* Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including work instructions, process specifications, and engineering reports.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and design engineering, to achieve project goals.
* Support the training of production operators on new or revised assembly procedures.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in all assembly operations.
* Contribute to continuous improvement projects using methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma.

Job Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing) or a related technical field.
* 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, preferably in a high-volume production setting.
* Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and assembly techniques.
* Familiarity with various hand tools, power tools, and basic assembly equipment.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
* Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
* Experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is a plus.
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles is a plus.
