Production planner

Production Planner – Role Overview

As a Production Planner, you will play a key role in ensuring production planning operations and manufacturing performance run smoothly and meet customer expectations. Your primary responsibility will be to create and manage the daily production schedule, making sure products are built on time with minimal disruptions.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain a detailed production schedule aligned with overall planning goals.
• Perform daily and weekly shortage analyses for raw materials to ensure production readiness.
• Minimize changes and disruptions to the production schedule.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and planning teams to adjust schedules and coordinate line maintenance, downtime, and other capacity impacts.
• Coordinate the shipment process with internal inventory control teams and customer forwarders.
• Ensure production schedules align with the long-term demand plan and customer delivery commitments.
• Monitor and analyze schedule execution, addressing discrepancies between plan and actual.
• Maintain data accuracy and integrity in core planning systems.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• At least 2 years of experience in production planning or a related field.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferably)
• Strong knowledge of Excel (VBA programming skills is a plus)
• APICS certification is a plus
• Familiarity with SFS (Shop Floor Systems) is a plus
