Location / Division Specific Information

  • Hungary ( Tiszaújváros ) or Poland (Kwidzyn) preferred.

  • Manufacturing site location preferred; Mega Site experience is considered an advantage.

The Global Supplier Quality Manager (m/f) is responsible for the implementation and execution of the organization's Supplier Quality Management System in alignment with global policies and procedures, while ensuring compliance with applicable quality standards such as ISO9001, IATF16949, ISO13485, and AS9001 where applicable.

As a member of the Global Supplier Quality Team, this role is responsible for overseeing supplier quality performance within the assigned region, addressing site support needs and escalations, and participating in supplier assessment, selection, and development from a supplier quality perspective.

The successful candidate will implement and monitor supplier quality management initiatives, including supplier qualification, ongoing supplier performance management and reviews, process improvements, and supplier audits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Jointly develop and communicate the organization's expectations regarding quality performance, continuous improvement, quality systems, process controls, and capabilities to suppliers.

  • Assess supplier compliance with business-required QMS requirements, as well as global and divisional policies, standards, and procedures.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.

  • Conduct supplier risk assessments for global suppliers.

  • Develop supplier audit schedules and conduct supplier quality audits to determine adherence to applicable quality regulations and requirements.

  • Issue audit observations, establish development plans, and follow up with suppliers to ensure closure of audit findings.

  • Measure, track, trend, and communicate supplier quality performance through key metrics and corresponding continuous improvement plans on a regular basis (monthly/quarterly).

  • Mentor and coach site Supplier Quality teams on best practices related to supplier quality systems, process controls, problem-solving methodologies, and statistical tools.

  • Lead investigations and resolution activities related to major or multi-site supplier quality issues.

  • Contribute to the development, optimization, and implementation of global supplier quality management procedures, systems, and tools.

  • Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders to enable continuous improvement initiatives and effective supplier risk mitigation plans.

  • Act as an opinion leader within the assigned region in promoting supplier quality management principles, concepts, and best practices across the global quality, supply chain, and supplier network.

  • Support component qualifications in accordance with Jabil part qualification processes, industry standards, legal requirements, and regulatory requirements, including PPAP.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering-related field, such as Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in Engineering, Quality Engineering, or Supplier Quality Management within the manufacturing industry (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, or IC products).

  • 5+ years of experience in a Team Leader or Manager role.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a regional or global workforce.

  • Experience and proven success working across different cultures.

  • Demonstrated track record of effectively influencing stakeholders without direct authority across all organizational levels and successfully leading change initiatives.

  • Strong experience in business process and procedure development.

  • Strong electro-mechanical background, including knowledge of:

    • plastic injection molding and tooling,

    • metal stampings and tooling,

    • metal fabrication,

    • machining,

    • PCB and PCBA,

    • electrical components,

    • connectors,

    • cable assemblies,

    • full assembly integration, etc.

    Candidates are expected to have a strong background in at least two of the above areas.

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, including experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance stack-up analysis.

  • Strong analytical and statistical problem-solving capabilities, including experience with:

    • process capability studies (Cpk),

    • Design of Experiments (DOE),

    • Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (Gage R&R),

    • statistical tolerance stack-up analysis.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as strong email communication skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

  • Flexible and energized approach to working across multiple time zones.

  • Willingness to travel approximately 30–50%.

  • UE citizenship required to support business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified QMS Auditor credentials for ISO9001, ISO13485, IATF16949, or AS9001.

  • Familiarity with and practical application of Six Sigma methodologies (Black Belt certification preferred).

  • Additional certifications such as ASQ CQE, CQM, or CQA are highly desirable.

  • Prior business or commercial experience (e.g., Purchasing or Commodity Management) is considered an advantage.

  • Chinese or Spanish language skills are considered a plus.
