JOB SUMMARY

The Commodity Manager, Professional Services and IT, is responsible for developing, executing, and supporting corporate sourcing initiatives for indirect procurement, and on behalf of the Global Indirect Procurement organization.  He/She will perform data analysis to identify new sourcing and other cost optimization opportunities to generate cost savings and risk mitigation for categories managed. Primary Categories may include but are not limited to: IT hardware, personal compute, software licensing/support, regional labor, regional logistics and other regional professional services. He/She is responsible for negotiating contracts and communicating to stakeholders and Sr Management the value propositions associated with the book of business assigned. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with peers in Global Indirect Procurement to ensure planning and strategies are consistent with global requirements and local regulations.
  • Support the development of supplier and industry category profiles.
  • Identify and leverage company-wide spend opportunities.
  • Support supplier selection and recommendation activities including qualitative and quantitative analysis, selection criteria, long and short lists, e-Auction, RFI and RFP development and analysis.
  • Provide guidance to profiles and Total Cost of Ownership models used to support sourcing decisions.
  • Monitor client and supplier compliance with supplier agreements related to high spend scope area.
  • Support Category leads in developing long range sourcing plans to reduce total costs, optimize value from suppliers and meet internal customer requirements.
  • Develop best practices sourcing methodology.
  • Clearly define service level expectations and requirement to assess current supplier community and recommend new suppliers who can add value related to new sourcing opportunities.
  • Negotiate, review and execute the implementation of contractual arrangements per company policy and business objectives.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders in order to gather category requirements and specifications from departments and category experts.
  • Drive value through innovation and collaboration with strategic suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • May perform other duties & responsibilities as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in supporting of IT and Professional Services categories, which include, but is not limited to: Consulting, Hardware, Software, Finance/Accounting/Tax, Logistics/Freight, HR Recruiting, HR Benefits/Services, Contingent/Temp Labor, Learning and Development, Marketing, Legal Services.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate results
  • Contract management and negotiations (Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, Software Licensing/SaaS agreements, NDA, etc.)
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English proficiently, additional language a plus (Spanish, Mandarin, Hungarian, Ukrainian)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or other relevant discipline preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Electronic Supply Chain/Materials Management/Procurement/Business Development experience
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Regular business hours.  Some additional hours may be required.
  • Travel requirements:  Domestic and/or Global, up to 15%
  • Climate controlled office environment during normal business hours, or remote as needed/agreed with leadership.
