Schedule: Sunday – Wednesday, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (Wednesday alternates on/off each week)



SUMMARY

The Warehouse Supervisor oversees the receipt, storage, and movement of equipment, materials, and merchandise within warehouse operations. This role is directly responsible for MRB (Material Review Board) processes, inventory analysis, VLM (Vertical Lift Module) storage, and the coordination of returning stock to third-party logistics (3PL) providers. The Warehouse Supervisor manages a team of assistant supervisors to ensure operational excellence, performance metrics achievement, organizational standards (5S), and a strong, collaborative work culture.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment and Retention

  • Participate in recruiting and interviewing warehouse staff and assistant supervisors.

  • Communicate role criteria and performance expectations to recruiters.

  • Monitor team member turnover and proactively identify and implement retention improvements.

Employee and Team Development

  • Identify individual and team strengths and development needs.

  • Support and validate training curriculum to ensure skill readiness in MRB, VLM, inventory, and 3PL processes.

  • Coach and mentor assistant supervisors and staff to consistently deliver operational excellence.

  • Develop and manage succession plans for warehouse leadership positions.

Performance Management

  • Establish measurable goals and objectives tied to operational metrics, compliance, organization (5S), and employee development.

  • Provide continuous feedback, coaching, and recognition to assistant supervisors and staff.

  • Conduct timely, professional evaluations and drive accountability through consistent follow-up.

  • Lead teams through periods of high demand or operational challenges while maintaining focus and morale.

Communication

  • Facilitate weekly team meetings to share updates, metrics, and improvement initiatives.

  • Ensure clear, professional verbal and written communication.

  • Foster an environment where staff feel encouraged to contribute ideas and feedback.

FUNCTIONAL MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Cost and Process Management

  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs through process optimization, 5S, and workflow improvements.

  • Monitor cost trends within warehouse operations and report findings to leadership.

  • Support assistant supervisors in developing cost-conscious practices at the team level.

TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure accurate and timely handling of MRB processes, inventory analysis, and stock returns to 3PL.

  • Oversee proper operation and storage utilization of VLM systems.

  • Guarantee that items are properly marked, tagged, and recorded for traceability.

  • Maintain accurate stock records, oversee cycle counts, and ensure compliance with audit standards.

  • Collaborate across departments (engineering, quality, program management, and operations) to ensure seamless material flow.

  • Enforce adherence to all safety, health, and security regulations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

  • Minimum 5 years of warehouse or inventory experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.

  • Strong knowledge of MRB, inventory control practices, and automated storage systems (VLM).

  • Proven ability to manage multiple assistant supervisors and frontline teams.

  • Experience driving operational performance metrics, implementing 5S, and fostering a positive workplace culture.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
