How Will You Make an Impact?

As a Material Supervisor II at our Auburn Hills, MI facility, you will lead materials professionals supporting one or more workcells or site operations. You will oversee materials analysis, planning, purchasing, inventory control, and data management activities while partnering with site leadership to achieve operational, financial, and strategic objectives. Your leadership will help ensure material availability, cost control, and continuous improvement across the supply chain.

On‑site at our Auburn Hills, MI facility.

What Will You Do?

  • Lead and administer Materials Analysis teams at the site level.
  • Supervise and support professionals in Purchasing, Inventory Control, Planning, and Configuration Management.
  • Oversee and ensure accuracy of materials‑related data management processes.
  • Lead cross‑functional projects and assignments supporting site and business objectives.
  • Partner with site management to develop and execute organizational and operational goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, cost reduction, and process efficiency.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration across functional teams.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

How Will You Get Here?

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Logistics Management, Business Administration, or related field required; MBA preferred but not required.
  • 3–5 years of related materials experience or6–8 years of supervisory experience.
  • Advanced PC skills, including experience with Jabil software systems.
  • APICS/NAPM certification preferred but not required.
  • Equivalent combinations of education, experience, and training may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations and industry practices.
  • Proven ability to determine logistics requirements aligned with business goals and implement effective strategies.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, including use of business analytics to optimize operational footprint.
  • Knowledge of international direct and indirect taxes and global customs regulations.
  • Demonstrated success in change management, continuous improvement, and cost‑reduction initiatives.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and email.
