Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician’s key responsibilities include troubleshooting issues, executing work orders, adhering to safety regulations, and maintaining equipment through routine inspections and repairs. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, technical skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role is responsible for documenting all maintenance activities executed on the computer maintenance management system (CMMS), performs maintenance service and repairs on manufacturing equipment (Fuji, Koh Young, and other SMT equipment) and the facility systems.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Execute scheduled maintenance on manufacturing equipment (Fuji, Koh Young, and other SMT equipment) to prevent equipment failure and conduct repairs as necessary.

  • Use the computerized maintenance management system (MAXIMO) to document all preventive and corrective maintenance. This includes logging work orders, tracking maintenance requests, and documenting details on maintenance logs, inspection records, and purchase requisitions.

  • Manage all aspects of facility and utility equipment maintenance, including heating and air conditioning systems, forklifts, and loading dock doors. This involves assessing needs, scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance with various vendors, and ensuring all work adheres to company procedures and applicable regulations.

  • Coordinate facility maintenance and projects for a manufacturing environment, including equipment installation and remodels, by collaborating with production, engineering, and quality teams. Ensure all work adheres to technical manuals, company procedures, safety and environmental regulations.

  • Use a wide range of power and hand tools with a high degree of proficiency and adherence to safety protocols.

  • Available to work extended shifts, weekends, and holidays, including scheduled on-call and shutdown periods, to respond to emergency or essential work situations as needed.

  • Use reference manuals to cross reference books for equipment and parts.

  • Adhere to all company safety policies and promote a safe work environment in accordance with OSHA regulations and the site's EHS Code of Conduct.

  • Participate in implementation of the EMS (emergency system), continuous improvement, pollution prevention, and regulatory compliance activities.

Experience and Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 3-5 years of related experience.

  • Associate degree in a technical field preferred, or equivalent combination of skills, experience, and training.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Skilled in troubleshooting manufacturing equipment and basic facilities maintenance needs.

  • Adaptable to changing priorities and new situations, with the capacity to quickly learn new skills.

  • Capable of following direction and working with minimal supervision.

  • Professional communication and collaboration with multiple teams.
