Job Summary:
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of all production processes and products through implementation of inspection procedures, equipment maintenance programs, training, and corrective action plans. This role will also be responsible for implementing improvements to increase process efficiencies and reduce costs.
Responsibilities:
• Lead efforts in continuous improvement projects, including cost reduction and quality assurance.
• Implement quality control systems to ensure product reliability and adherence to industry standards.
• Manage customer complaints regarding quality issues.
• Develop effective solutions to complex problems using sound engineering principles.
• Provide guidance to other engineers on technical matters related to manufacturing operations.
• Conduct regular audits to identify potential areas of concern or non-compliance.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams such as Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Maintenance to address quality issues.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) when necessary to determine cause of nonconformity.
• Develop and implement corrective actions (CAPA) based on RCA findings.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical
• Experience working in manufacturing environment preferred.
• Knowledgeable in SPC, MSA, APQP and PFMEA.
• Excellent problem solving skills and ability to think critically.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead teams and motivate others towards achieving goals.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Fluent English/Spanish.
