JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineering Software Engineer with strong experience in mechanical engineering platform design and engineering software development.

This role focuses on designing and developing mechanical engineering systems, integrating PTC Creo with customized applications using Creo Toolkits, and enabling efficient, scalable engineering workflows.

You will work closely with mechanical, manufacturing, IT, and PLM teams to build and maintain engineering platforms that support product design automation, data integration, and system-level optimization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, develop, and maintain ME AI and related software architectures and applications
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate mechanical design processes with enterprise systems
• Develop customized and automated mechanical design solutions using PTC Creo and Copilot agent
• Perform PTC Creo Toolkits (C++ / Java) development for CAD customization, automation, and system integration
• Develop engineering software tools to improve design efficiency, data consistency, and workflow automation
• Integrate engineering data (CAD, BOM, drawings, documents) with backend systems such as PLM / ERP / Databases
• Troubleshoot system issues, optimize performance, and support engineering teams
• Prepare technical documentation and support knowledge transfer within the team

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Comprehensive knowledge (with limited complexity) of Industry or specific sector, regulatory and safety standards. 
• Broad knowledge with limited complexity projects that have required one of more of Mechanical Engineering Design specializations or competencies:  Tolerance Analysis, DFM, Serviceability
• Demonstrated use of key development tools and design standards: 3D CAD, Finite Element Analysis, Interference Checks, Cross-site Design Reviews

NON TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

• Influence others and share best practices
• Effectively communicate with good understanding of English.
• Work as part of a global team
• Lead others in some aspects of technical tasks
• Assess a project and articulating risk while developing project milestones.
• Develop projects in a stage-gate process (PLCQ) 
• Mentor less experienced engineers.
• Participates in cross-functional design reviews and can lead some aspects of ME design reviews.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related engineering field
• Hands‑on experience in mechanical engineering system / platform software design
• Solid experience using PTC Creo in real‑world engineering projects
• Proven experience with PTC Creo Toolkitsdevelopment (C++ or Java)
• Engineering software development experience:
  • Required: Strong proficiency in C++ (specifically for Creo Object Toolkit) or Java (J-Link).
  • Preferred: Experience with Python for automation scripting or AI integration.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design workflows and engineering data management
• Good analytical, problem‑solving, and cross‑team communication skills
