Job Summary:**

The Molding Jr. Engineer II at Jabil, Inc. supports the development, optimization, and troubleshooting of injection molding processes and tooling. This role involves assisting senior engineers in ensuring efficient production, high-quality molded parts, and continuous process improvement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities:**

* Assist in the design, development, and validation of new injection molding processes and tooling.
* Conduct process parameter optimization studies (e.g., DOE) to improve part quality, cycle time, and yield.
* Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of molding defects, machine issues, and tooling problems.
* Collect and analyze molding process data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
* Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
* Assist in the preparation of process documentation, work instructions, and training materials.
* Participate in the evaluation and selection of new molding equipment and materials.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles.
* Perform other duties as assigned by senior engineering staff.

Job Qualifications:**

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
* 1-3 years of experience in injection molding processes, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
* Basic understanding of plastic materials, mold design principles, and injection molding machinery.
* Familiarity with scientific molding principles and process optimization techniques (e.g., DOE).
* Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Familiarity with CAD software is a plus.
* Willingness to work in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing setting.reg
