Job Summary**

The IE/LSS Jr. Engineer will support the implementation of Industrial Engineering (IE) and Lean Six Sigma (LSS) methodologies to optimize manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and reduce waste within Jabil's operations. This role involves data analysis, process mapping, and collaborative problem-solving to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Responsibilities**

* Assist in conducting time studies, motion analysis, and capacity planning to identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
* Support the development and implementation of Lean manufacturing tools such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events, and standard work.
* Collect, analyze, and interpret production data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for process optimization.
* Contribute to the design and implementation of new layouts, equipment, and work methods to enhance productivity and ergonomics.
* Participate in Six Sigma projects, including data collection, statistical analysis, and solution validation.
* Prepare and present reports on project progress, findings, and recommendations to management.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and engineering, to drive improvement initiatives.
* Maintain accurate documentation of processes, procedures, and project results.
* Support training and mentoring of production personnel on IE and LSS principles.

Job Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
* Up to 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with exposure to Lean or Six Sigma principles.
* Basic understanding of Industrial Engineering concepts (e.g., time studies, work sampling, facility layout).
* Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools (e.g., DMAIC, 5S, VSM, Kaizen).
* Proficiency in data analysis tools, including Microsoft Excel; Minitab or other statistical software is a plus.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Proactive and results-oriented with a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
