Job Summary:**

The Fixture Assistant II supports the manufacturing process by ensuring the availability, maintenance, and proper functioning of production fixtures, tools, and equipment. This role involves basic troubleshooting, repair, and organization of fixtures to optimize production efficiency and quality.

Job Responsibilities:**

* Perform routine inspection, cleaning, and basic maintenance of production fixtures, jigs, and tools.
* Organize and maintain inventory of fixtures, ensuring proper storage and easy retrieval.
* Assist in troubleshooting minor fixture issues and perform basic repairs under supervision.
* Support the setup and changeover of fixtures on production lines according to work instructions.
* Operate basic shop equipment (e.g., hand tools, power drills, grinding machines) safely and efficiently.
* Collaborate with production operators and engineers to identify and resolve fixture-related problems.
* Document maintenance activities, fixture movements, and inventory updates accurately.
* Adhere to all safety protocols and company procedures.
* Assist in the calibration of basic tools and equipment as required.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives related to fixture design and maintenance.

Job Qualifications:**

* High school diploma or equivalent.
* 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably with exposure to fixtures or tools.
* Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools.
* Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings or schematics is a plus.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Familiarity with safety procedures in a manufacturing setting.
* Ability to lift and move objects up to 30 pounds.
* Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.
