Job Summary**

The Automation Jr. Engineer I at Jabil, Inc. will support the design, development, and implementation of automated systems and processes, contributing to improved efficiency and productivity across manufacturing operations.

Job Responsibilities**

* Assist in the design, development, and testing of automation solutions, including robotics, PLCs, and other control systems.
* Support the installation, calibration, and maintenance of automation equipment.
* Participate in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to automated systems and machinery.
* Collaborate with senior engineers to gather requirements and develop technical specifications for automation projects.
* Document automation processes, procedures, and system configurations.
* Assist in performing root cause analysis for automation-related problems and implement corrective actions.
* Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards in the execution of automation tasks.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the automation department.

Job Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
* Basic understanding of PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI development.
* Familiarity with industrial automation components such as sensors, actuators, and vision systems.
* Knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical principles.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
