We have an exciting opportunity available at our expanding site in Memphis, TN for a Quality Management System (QMS) Specialist
How will you make an impact?
The QMS Specialist at Jabil, Inc. is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. This role is critical in driving continuous improvement and operational excellence across Jabil's manufacturing and service processes.
What will you do?
- Design, develop, and implement Jabil's Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with relevant international standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and customer-specific requirements.
- Manage and control QMS documentation, including policies, procedures, work instructions, and records, ensuring they are current, accurate, and accessible.
- Lead and participate in internal and external QMS audits (e.g., customer, regulatory, certification bodies) to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Facilitate the corrective and preventive action (CAPA) process, including root cause analysis, implementation of effective solutions, and verification of effectiveness.
- Monitor and report on key quality performance indicators (KPIs), providing data-driven insights to management for strategic decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide training and support to employees on QMS principles, procedures, and tools to foster a strong quality culture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain) to integrate quality requirements into product development, manufacturing, and service delivery processes.
- Support the management review process by preparing relevant data and presenting QMS performance.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, regulatory changes, and new quality standards to ensure Jabil's QMS remains current and effective.
How will you get here?
Education:
- Bachelors degree in engineering or quality or an equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training.
- ASQ certifications (e.g., Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Engineer) are a significant advantage.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in Quality Management Systems within a manufacturing environment, preferably in electronics, medical devices, or aerospace.
- Demonstrated experience with ISO 9001; standards is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to conduct internal and external audits effectively, with strong understanding of audit methodologies.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis techniques (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, FMEA) and CAPA processes.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with quality management software is a plus.
