How Will You Make an Impact?
As a CNC Manufacturing Engineer II at our Grand Junction, CO facility, you will develop, implement, and maintain CNC machined part manufacturing processes per customer drawings & specifications on a variety of 3,4,5-Axis CNC equipment. In this role, you will create in-process CAD/CAM models, work instructions, process flows, NC programs and other documentation to introduce and manage new product development, as well as improve and optimize existing processes. This position requires a strong understanding of machining, materials, tooling, and standards to meet stringent quality and performance requirements.
Location: On-site at our Grand Junction, CO facility
Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
What Will You Do?
- Develop and implement CNC machined part manufacturing processes, including:
- Material form selection
- Operation sequencing
- Fixture design
- Machine selection
- Tooling selection
- Programming
- Analyze engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications to determine machining/manufacturing strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality and production, to improve manufacturability and reduce cycle times.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, including tooling wear, machine setup, and process deviations.
- Provide technical training and support to machine operators and other team members to build team capabilities, fostering growth and knowledge sharing.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning by engaging with team members on best practices and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Ensure 100% adherence to all company policies and procedures (i.e. Health, Safety, Security, and Quality…)
- Maintain discretion and confidentiality in all areas pertaining to data and proprietary information, whether internal to Jabil or customer specific.
How Will You Get Here?
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficient in CAD/CAM software (e.g., NX, SolidWorks, Mastercam, or similar software), CNC programming, and G-code.
- Solid understanding of GD&T principles, machining processes and tolerances, and material properties.
- Experience with inspection tools, gauging, and methods.
- Familiarity with AS9100, ISO 9001, and other quality management systems.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Understanding of Mazak controls and Mazatrol.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP).
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field (preferred but not required; equivalent experience will be considered).
- 4+ years of experience in CNC machining and process development, preferably in the aerospace industry.
- Hands-on experience with multi-axis CNC machining centers, including setup, and operation.
- Experience with inspection tools, gauging, and methods.
This position requires use of information which is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). The pay range for this role is $65,500 - $117,900. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity. The anticipated close date of this job requisition is: September 26, 2026.
