What You’ll Do:

• Implementing and monitoring EDI systems, including data mapping, translation and
• Coordinating relations with and serving as a liaison to internal users, vendors and other

external partners with respect to data interchange standards

• Performing system testing and quality control checks
• Developing and maintaining EDI documentation

Requirements:

• Must have EDI background with development
• EDI specialists should have a solid background in information systems technology and

working knowledge of data communication protocols. They must be detail-oriented,

have excellent problem-solving skills and have the ability to work independently. A

bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline is normally required. In

addition, employers typically look for several years of IT-related experience, plus three or

more years with EDI systems administration, design, analysis and development.

• Customer service skills as well as effective communication skills – both verbal and
• Good working knowledge of standard computer operating systems, i.e. Microsoft, Unix.
• Understand object-oriented concepts.
• Understanding of database objects, tables, views, keys, indexes, stored procedures.
• Understanding of software design methodologies.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.
• Knowledge of Microsoft operating system and networks.
• Knowledge of SAP and IDOC processing.
• Knowledge of EDI integration tool like Axway B2Bi, Axway CFT, IBM Sterling Integrator,
• Knowledge of EDI standards ANSI, EDIFACT, Rosettanet Standard PIP 2.0.
• Plus: API development experience (Mulesoft)
