Job Summary**

As a Quality Inspector 3 at Jabil, Inc., you will be responsible for performing complex inspections of products, materials, and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements. You will utilize advanced inspection techniques and equipment, interpret technical documentation, and proactively identify and report non-conformances to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Responsibilities**

* Conduct advanced inspections of components, sub-assemblies, and finished products according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality control plans.
* Utilize a variety of precision measuring instruments and equipment, including CMMs, optical comparators, and advanced gauges, to verify product dimensions and characteristics.
* Interpret and apply complex technical documentation, blueprints, and quality standards (e.g., ISO, IPC, AS9100) to inspection activities.
* Perform first article inspections (FAI), in-process inspections, and final inspections, ensuring adherence to critical to quality (CTQ) parameters.
* Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate corrective action requests (CARs) and disposition processes.
* Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and implement preventive measures.
* Conduct root cause analysis for identified defects and contribute to the development of effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
* Assist in training and mentoring less experienced quality inspectors on complex inspection techniques and procedures.
* Participate in internal and external audits, providing support and documentation as required.
* Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, quality logs, and non-conformance reports.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.

Job Qualifications**

* High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience preferred.
* 5+ years of experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment, preferably in electronics, medical devices, or aerospace.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
* Expertise in operating and programming CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines) and other advanced inspection equipment.
* Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485) and relevant industry standards (e.g., IPC-A-610, IPC-J-STD-001).
* Demonstrated ability to perform detailed root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively document findings and communicate with cross-functional teams.
* Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
* May require certification in relevant quality disciplines (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Inspector).
