How will you make an impact?

Provide direct supervision to Facilities Maintenance associate(s) and site facilities contractors. Oversee maintenance of the factory building, its surrounding premises, production plant service including preventive maintenance and upgrading of facility equipment and electrical services. Also ensure that all state, local, and site procedures/policies regarding Quality and EHS are adhered to by the entire facilities team.

Jabil’s new state-of-the-art facility in Byhalia, Mississippi is a cutting-edge sterilization site dedicated to supporting the medical device industry through advanced X-ray sterilization technology. This site plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, quality, and regulatory compliance of life-saving medical products. Equipped with innovative processing capabilities and a focus on operational excellence, the Byhalia facility strengthens Jabil’s global healthcare network by delivering fast, reliable, and scalable sterilization solutions. Team members at this site contribute directly to improving patient outcomes while working in a highly technical, quality-driven environment that emphasizes safety, precision, and continuous improvement.

What will you do?

Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations and Jabil, procedures and guidelines, this position:

  • Responsible for preventive and routine maintenance; overhaul and modification of building and production equipment; emergency repair of buildings, equipment and utility systems.

  • Assumes responsibility for complete in-house janitorial service and ground maintenance.

  • Assumes responsibility for site environmental compliance programs.

  • Assures all Federal, State and Local permits are obtained and continue current.

  • Acts as a liaison to public utility, environmental and energy agencies.

  • Assure that all electrical, mechanical and construction work is performed in conformance with applicable codes and regulations.

  • Assumes responsibility of Safety Officer. Assures that each employee is formally trained in safety, which includes knowledge of hazards and protective measures required to prevent injury or illness.

  • Establish and maintain the building's operational flexibility. Evaluate and carry out improvements for higher operational efficiency in plant utilities.

  • Responsible for all electrical safety.

  • Plan and ensure monthly budget accuracy.

  • Plan, coordinate and ensure all facilities works compliance with required specifications, regulatory requirement, quality of work and safety standards.

  • Support and assist the Functional Manager with day to day activities.

  • Develop and monitor operational budgets for both internal and contracted resources; responsible for operational performance of service providers.

  • Implement business continuity plans, Energy/Sustainability initiatives, and infrastructure management programs.

  • As appropriate work with the Facilities team on the delivery of consistent site amenities and employee services, including fitness centers, parking, food, landscaping, site security and other business services.

  • Build and coordinate external relationships with local, regional, and state governments for site and community relations.

  • Provide change management leadership to implement Facilities strategies and initiatives at the site.

  • Establish a high performance and continuous improvement culture driven by key performance metrics, benchmarking and sharing of best practices.

  • Work collaboratively with Site/Campus Leaders to ensure alignment and connectivity between regions.

  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    How will you get here?

  • Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations and industry.

  • Strong proficiency in determining logistics requirements to enable company’s business goals and objectives with ability to devise and implement strategy to achieve targets.

  • Strong financial and analytical ability.

  • Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and management continuous productivity and cost reduction programs.

  • Strong and convincing communication skills.

  • Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering preferred.

  • 4 - 7 years related experience required, preferably in a Production /Manufacturing environment.

  • Or a combination of education, experience and/or training. 

  • Experience supervising or leading others.
