Jabil is expanding! We are looking for a regional Project Industrial Engineer to support new and existing sites throughout the US. This role will sit at one of our major sites in the US and travel upto 75% domestically.

Open to multiple base site locations.

How will you make an impact?
The Project Industrial Engineer will optimize Jabil's operational processes and systems across the US region, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement for various projects for growth sites, new factories, and new product launches.

What will you do?

  • Lead and execute industrial engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.
  • Analyze existing manufacturing and logistical processes to identify bottlenecks, waste, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement new process layouts, material flow, and production methods to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
  • Utilize industrial engineering tools and methodologies such as time studies, motion studies, facility layout, capacity planning, and simulation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and engineering to integrate solutions effectively.
  • Design and implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting systems to track project progress and operational efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to production teams and participate in training on new processes and equipment.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed projects and investments.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Lead new product quotes and collaborate with the business unit on staffing models and capital equipment requirements

How will you get here?

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Six Sigma, PMP, or other related certification a plus but not required

Experience:

  • 4 to 6 years of experience in an industrial engineering role within a manufacturing or project-based environment with at least 1-3 years in a leadership or regional role.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing process improvement projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel) and simulation software (e.g., Arena, FlexSim) preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to manage complex projects across multiple sites simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for layout and system design.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to travel frequently within the assigned region to support various Jabil sites (up to 75%). When not traveling, work location is required on-site at the home-site location.
