Job Summary

The Machinery & Equipment Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, installation, and maintenance of manufacturing machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and safety across Jabil's production facilities.

Job Responsibilities

* Design, develop, and implement new machinery and equipment solutions to enhance manufacturing capabilities and efficiency.
* Conduct detailed analysis of existing machinery to identify areas for improvement, cost reduction, and increased throughput.
* Manage the installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety standards.
* Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for all manufacturing machinery to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues in production equipment, providing timely and effective solutions.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and supply chain, to optimize equipment performance and resolve manufacturing challenges.
* Prepare technical documentation, including equipment specifications, operating procedures, maintenance manuals, and training materials.
* Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in machinery and equipment engineering to drive continuous improvement.
* Ensure all machinery and equipment comply with relevant safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
* Provide technical support and training to production staff on the operation and basic maintenance of equipment.

Job Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
* 3-5 years of experience in machinery and equipment engineering within a manufacturing environment.
* Proven experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor) for mechanical design.
* Strong understanding of PLC programming, industrial automation, and control systems.
* Experience with preventative maintenance programs and methodologies (e.g., TPM, RCM).
* Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
* Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to industrial machinery.
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
* Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment is a plus.
