Job Summary**

Designs, develops, and implements automation solutions for manufacturing processes, enhancing efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and optimize existing systems.

Job Responsibilities**

* Conceptualize, design, and develop automated equipment, tooling, and fixtures using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
* Perform detailed engineering analysis, including stress, tolerance, and kinematic studies, to ensure design robustness and performance.
* Select and integrate appropriate components such as sensors, actuators, PLCs, robotics, and vision systems.
* Develop control logic and programming for automated systems (e.g., ladder logic, structured text, C++).
* Conduct feasibility studies, cost analysis, and risk assessments for proposed automation projects.
* Support the assembly, testing, debugging, and commissioning of automation systems on the production floor.
* Create and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, assembly drawings, BOMs, and operation manuals.
* Provide technical support and training to production and maintenance teams.
* Stay current with industry trends and advancements in automation technology.
* Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to specify and procure automation components.

Job Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
* 3+ years of experience in automation design, development, and implementation within a manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) for mechanical design.
* Strong understanding of PLC programming (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens) and HMI development.
* Experience with industrial robotics (e.g., Fanuc, KUKA, Universal Robots) and vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence).
* Knowledge of various sensors, actuators, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
* Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus).
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate technical concepts clearly.
* Project management experience is a plus.
