Job Summary**

The Test Engineering Technician I at Jabil, Inc. supports manufacturing and engineering by performing testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic assemblies and systems. This role assists in the development and implementation of test processes and equipment.

Job Responsibilities**

* Perform functional and in-circuit testing on various electronic components, sub-assemblies, and finished products according to established procedures and specifications.
* Identify and diagnose failures, malfunctions, and defects in electronic assemblies using schematics, diagrams, and test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers).
* Perform root cause analysis on identified defects and recommend corrective actions to engineers.
* Repair or rework defective units to meet quality standards and specifications.
* Assist in the setup, calibration, and maintenance of test fixtures, equipment, and automated test systems.
* Collect, record, and analyze test data; generate reports on test results and findings.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to validate new products, processes, and equipment.
* Provide feedback to engineers on design flaws or improvements that could enhance testability or product reliability.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and quality procedures.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Job Qualifications**

* Associate's degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
* 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or test environment, preferably in electronics.
* Basic understanding of electronic circuits, components, and test methodologies.
* Proficiency in using common test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
* Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Good manual dexterity for handling small components and performing soldering/rework as needed.
* Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
