How will you make an impact?

As a Debug Technician/Programmer on 2nd shift, you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving the Functional Verification Test (FVT) process and associated equipment to ensure product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and production goals are achieved. You will support continuous improvement initiatives by diagnosing product and test failures, reducing downtime, increasing yields, and driving corrective actions across manufacturing and engineering teams.

What will you do?

  • Diagnose and repair electronic circuit boards to the component level.
  • Operate and troubleshoot electronic test and measurement equipment.
  • Utilize and interpret assembly documentation, including schematics, BOMs, visual aids, test tools, and procedures.
  • Support production yield improvements by identifying and reducing operator errors and escalating manufacturing and test engineering defects.
  • Assist the Test Engineering team with data analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze process yield reports, test escapes, operator errors, defective products, equipment failures, and RMA trends to drive corrective actions.
  • Document fixture downtime and product defects using established tracking systems.
  • Ensure engineering changes, deviations, and product revisions are properly implemented and validated.
  • Support preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and increase process reliability.
  • Identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency and minimize equipment downtime.
  • Ensure product testing is complete, accurate, and reliable.
  • Generate and maintain required technical documentation.
  • Perform all Functional Verification Tests within assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Maintain production flow while meeting quality and production targets.
  • Communicate recurring test or operator issues to leadership for corrective action.
  • Provide guidance and support to Test Operators.
  • Support staffing and scheduling recommendations as needed.
  • Interface with customers and travel to customer sites when required to enhance product understanding and diagnostic capabilities.
  • Adhere to all safety, quality, security, and 5S requirements.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

How will you get here?

Education:

  • Associate’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline required.
  • Programming language experience preferred.
  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered.

Experience:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting electronic assemblies to the component level required.
  • Experience working with electronic test equipment and diagnostic tools preferred.
  • U.S. Citizenship required to work at this specific site.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of electronics troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques.
  • Working knowledge of network hierarchies and configuration methods.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Proficiency with Windows-based computer systems and related software applications.
  • Advanced PC skills and ability to learn proprietary software systems.
  • Ability to interpret schematics, technical documentation, and visual work instructions.
  • Knowledge of mathematical concepts including ratios, percentages, probability, statistical inference, geometry, and trigonometry.
  • Ability to collect and analyze data, draw conclusions, and solve practical problems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow technical procedures and instructions.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Programming experience in a manufacturing or test environment.
  • Experience supporting Functional Verification Test (FVT) processes.
  • Exposure to preventive maintenance programs, yield improvement initiatives, and process optimization activities.
  • Prior customer-facing technical support experience.
  • Experience working in a high-volume electronics manufacturing environment.
