Job Summary

The Division Quotations Manager (SCQM) must be the SME (Subject Matter Expert) on new business tools, processes and strategies for their designated division.  Managing, reviewing, and assigning all the materials quotation projects launched in Salesforce within their division. All proposal strategies must support the specific needs of the customer and Business Unit and be complementary to Jabil’s overall supply chain goals. Work closely with senior business unit, sales, and supply chain to understand the required revenue growth, long-term plans, markets, customers, products, sourcing, and site capabilities, and develop project strategies that support Jabil’s business and growth plans. Demonstrate a commitment to customer service and consistently meet or exceed expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and empower their teams to manage material quote projects for their respective divisions. Assign new projects to their Proposal Project Managers and help create winning strategies, overcome issues, and ensure we’re delivering comprehensive, competitive, and profitable projects.  Develop effective relationships with business unit management to ensure that supply chain is fully engaged in new business opportunities.

  • Help with the development and integration of a global infrastructure to quote materials that support Jabil’s business and growth plans. Drive ongoing enhancements and increased efficiency with Jabil Materials Quotation tools and processes. Work collaboratively with all other divisional DQM’s to ensure best practices (standardization, optimization, and automation) is integrated into the process. Strive to drive down quote turnaround time through reduction in process waste, redundancies, process efficiency, process agility, and continuous improvement while ensuring the delivery of a quality product to the customer. Offer new and innovative ideas to help in developing our Global Materials Quotation tools, processes, and strategies to meet Jabil’s business needs.

  • Maintain cost-effectiveness by working with other divisional DQM teams to flex resource capacity, ensure resources are used effectively, and locate them in the appropriate regions.

  • Consult with the Central Quote Team (CQT), Sourcing, Supply Chain Development Managers (SCDM’s), Business Units / Sales, Sourcing, Commodity Mgmt., Engineering, and Manufacturing as needed to ensure the highest quality proposals. They will function as the first point of escalation for the PPM when issues arise. Provide support and feedback to Sourcing based on the quoting performance of our strategic suppliers.

  • Develop and track our Materials Quotation Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and consult with the design and implementation of a Metrics Database. Utilize the KPI’s to drive continuous improvement and ongoing tool and process development. Ensures our processes are documented, trained, transparent, and followed. Confirms the projects support our inventory and profitability goals.

  • Follow all safety and health rules and regulations for this position, as directed by their manager.

Job Qualifications/ Knowledge Requirements

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret customer statement of work (SOW) and technical data packages.

  • Basic understanding of Jabil's financial metrics and models.

  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from business units, customers, site materials, and other functional teams.

  • Work effectively & collaboratively with the Business Units and all other functional areas needed to produce a successful project.

  • Lead projects, manage scope and data changes, and drive actions to completion.

  • Good knowledge of Jabil’s supply chain tools and capabilities.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of dynamic variables in situations where limited data is available.

  • Ensure all sensitive and confidential information is managed appropriately and that all procedures within the company's security policy are followed.

  • Strong and convincing communication skills

Educational and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or related experience.

  • Domestic and international travel is required.
