Job Description

The Senior BMC Core Validation Engineer is responsible for executing and supporting validation activities for BMC firmware, ensuring feature functionality, stability, and quality across development cycles.

This role collaborates closely with BMC developers to understand sprint scope and translate requirements into test cases and validation plans. The engineer performs hands-on testing, debugging, and defect tracking, while also contributing to automation development to improve test coverage and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaboration with BMC developers to understand sprint content
• BMC test case creation
• Hands on testing and debug of new firmware features
• Defect reporting
• Automation of known-good test procedures
• Automation code review and maintenance
• Documentation of test procedures and automation usage instructions
• CL/CI activities

Job Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar
• 5+ years of industry experience
• Familiarity with BMC
• Automation experience
  • Python or similar
  • Jenkins or Robot Framework
• Work with minimal supervision 
• Good written and verbal communication skills (English)
• Good problem-solving skills
