JOB SUMMARY

The Principal Solutions Architect is a senior technical leader responsible for architecting, developing and optimize solution for data center rack integration within Jabil’s Rack Integration Center of Excellence (CoE) in San Jose.

This role combines deep hands-on engineering expertise with customer-facing solution leadership, enabling Jabil to deliver fully integrated rack systems (L11) incorporating networking, optics, power, and liquid cooling infrastructure.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

TECHNICAL ARCHITECTURE & SYSTEM INTEGRATION

- Architect end-to-end rack-level solutions including networking, optics, cooling, and power systems

- Solve complex integration challenges across mechanical, electrical, optics and thermal domains

CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT & SOLUTION DEVELOPMENT

- Act as primary technical interface with customers (e.g., Arista, hyperscalers)

- Lead technical workshops, architecture discussions, and solution alignment sessions

TECHNICAL SELLING & BUSINESS SUPPORT

- Support RFP/RFQ and new business opportunities

- Develop solution architectures and differentiation narratives

PROTOTYPE DEVELOPMENT & SYSTEM DEBUG

- Lead rack builds and system bring-up at San Jose CoE

- Troubleshoot integration, cooling, and system-level issues

TEST & VALIDATION

- Define system-level validation strategies including thermal and functional testing

PROCESS DEVELOPMENT & INDUSTRIALIZATION

- Develop scalable manufacturing processes

- Transition prototype to production across global sites

COE DEVELOPMENT

- Build standard integration playbooks and engineering frameworks

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering

- 12–18+ years of relevant experience

- experience in complex rack assembly and familiarity with optical cable parching is a plus

TECHNICAL SKILLS

- Rack integration, system debug, data center networking, liquid cooling

- Basic knowledge of optical cabling

CUSTOMER & COMMERCIAL SKILLS

- Pre-sales or solution architecture experience

- Ability to translate technical solutions into customer value

LEADERSHIP

- Strong communication, influence, and problem-solving skills

The pay range for this role is $144,400 - $259,900. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
