JOB SUMMARY

Entry-level position responsible for basic activities related to management, handling, recording, and organization of spare parts. Provides direct support to the maintenance department under constant supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Receive, supply, and record spare parts movements in the system.
• Perform cycle counts and report any discrepancies found, in accordance with area procedures.
• Keep the spare parts warehouse clean, organized, and properly labeled according to procedures.
•  Locate and deliver spare parts requested by maintenance technicians.
• Ensure spare parts are stored according to identification, organization, and preservation standards.
•  Learn and identify the most common spare parts used in the machinery.
• Generate basic purchase requisitions, following the procedures of the area and the Purchasing department.
• Follow up on generated requisitions from creation to final receipt of the spare part, ensuring confirmation of availability, delivery dates, and preventing delays in the process.
• Verify that the material received matches what was requested and report any deviations.
• Keep the inventory updated and support the generation of purchase orders according to replenishment needs.
•  Monitor spare parts consumption and maintain records that support inventory accuracy.
• Assist in the basic identification and development of new spare part sources.
• Maintain the technical manuals and spare parts catalogs library organized.
• Support the machine support department during line moves, installations, or asset transfers.
• Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as instructed by the supervisor.
• Comply with and follow all procedures within the company’s safety policy.
• Provide support to all Safety, Health, and Environmental (EHS) programs and initiatives to help uphold our zero-accident culture.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to calculate quantity of parts to be prepped and ready for use at any time.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software.
• Basic PC skills.
• Ability to write simple correspondence. Read and understand visual aid.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
• Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

•    High School Diploma
•    0–1 year of experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or maintenance-related areas.
•    Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or industrial components.
•    Basic computer skills and spreadsheet handling.
