Job Summary**

As a Tooling EDM Jr. Engineer I at Jabil, Inc., you will be responsible for supporting the design, development, and maintenance of EDM tooling components. This role involves assisting senior engineers in various stages of the tooling lifecycle, ensuring precision and quality in manufacturing processes.

Job Responsibilities**

* Assist in the design and development of EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) tooling using CAD/CAM software.
* Support the fabrication, assembly, and testing of EDM tooling components.
* Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of EDM machinery and tooling.
* Collaborate with senior engineers to optimize EDM processes for efficiency and quality.
* Document tooling designs, specifications, and maintenance procedures.
* Conduct quality inspections of manufactured EDM tooling to ensure adherence to specifications.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to tooling design and manufacturing.
* Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all company safety policies.
* Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and quality departments.
* Learn and apply new EDM technologies and techniques as they emerge.

Job Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
* 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment, preferably with exposure to EDM.
* Basic understanding of CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam).
* Familiarity with EDM principles and processes is a plus.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
