Job Summary**

The Molding Jr. Engineer at Jabil, Inc. supports the molding department by assisting with the development, optimization, and maintenance of injection molding processes and equipment. This role involves contributing to problem-solving, process improvement, and ensuring quality and efficiency in production.

Job Responsibilities**

* Assist senior engineers in the development and optimization of new and existing injection molding processes.
* Support the setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of molding machinery and auxiliary equipment.
* Conduct experiments and collect data to analyze process parameters and identify areas for improvement.
* Participate in the evaluation of new materials and tooling for molding applications.
* Help in developing and maintaining process documentation, including work instructions and process control plans.
* Collaborate with production, quality, and design teams to resolve molding-related issues.
* Contribute to root cause analysis of molding defects and implement corrective actions.
* Learn and apply lean manufacturing principles to enhance operational efficiency.
* Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company quality standards.

Job Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
* Basic understanding of injection molding principles, polymers, and tooling.
* Familiarity with scientific molding methodologies is a plus.
* Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving techniques.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
* Eagerness to learn and develop expertise in molding processes.
* Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
* May require occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
