Job Summary
The Facility Maintenance Technician at Jabil, Inc. is responsible for performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks to ensure the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of the company's facilities and equipment. This role is crucial for maintaining a safe, efficient, and comfortable working environment for all employees.

Job Responsibilities
* Perform routine preventative maintenance on facility systems and equipment, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
* Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with facility infrastructure, machinery, and production equipment.
* Execute repairs and replacements of faulty components, parts, and systems, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and company standards.
* Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify potential hazards, maintenance needs, and opportunities for improvement.
* Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, prioritizing and resolving issues efficiently to minimize disruption.
* Assist with the installation, relocation, and assembly of new equipment and machinery.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inventory of parts and supplies.
* Collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or projects, ensuring quality and timely completion.
* Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout, confined space entry, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
* Maintain a clean and organized work area, including maintenance shops and equipment storage.
* May assist with general building maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, and minor construction.

Job Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification or vocational training in a related field (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) is highly preferred.
* Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in facility maintenance or a related industrial maintenance role.
* Proven ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
* Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
* Strong understanding of safety protocols and best practices in an industrial environment.
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
* Basic computer skills for work order systems and communication.
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in various physical positions, including bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
* Must be willing to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts, as needed.
