Job Summary**

The Fixture CNC Jr. Engineer III at Jabil, Inc. will be responsible for supporting the design, programming, and maintenance of CNC fixtures used in manufacturing processes. This role involves assisting senior engineers in optimizing fixture performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the efficient production of high-quality components.

Job Responsibilities**

* Assist in the design and development of CNC fixtures using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
* Generate and optimize CNC programs (G-code) for various machining operations on fixtures.
* Perform setup, calibration, and routine maintenance of CNC machines and associated fixtures.
* Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve fixture-related issues, improving efficiency and reducing downtime.
* Conduct first-article inspections and quality checks on machined components to ensure adherence to specifications.
* Document fixture designs, programming procedures, and maintenance records accurately.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to fixture design, manufacturing processes, and quality control.
* Support the training of manufacturing personnel on fixture operation and maintenance.
* Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.

Job Qualifications**

* Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
* 3+ years of experience in CNC machining, fixture design, or a related manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Mastercam, Fusion 360).
* Strong understanding of G-code programming and CNC machine operation.
* Knowledge of various machining processes (milling, turning, grinding) and materials.
* Familiarity with metrology tools and techniques (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM).
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
* Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
