Job Summary: The Material Handler II is responsible for coordinating and executing complex material handling, inventory control, and material movement activities that support manufacturing operations. This role ensures the accurate receipt, storage, replenishment, transfer, and issuance of materials while maintaining inventory accuracy and material traceability throughout the facility. The Material Handler II serves as a key resource in warehouse and production support operations, utilizing ERP systems, RF scanners, forklifts, pallet jacks, and inventory control processes to ensure the efficient flow of materials and uninterrupted production operations. Duties and Responsibilities: • Coordinate and execute material movements between receiving, warehouse, stockroom, production, and shipping areas to support manufacturing operations. • Perform and verify inventory transactions within ERP systems using RF scanners to maintain inventory accuracy and traceability. • Support production through timely material staging, line-side replenishment, and return-to-stock activities. • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, transaction errors, material shortages, and location variances. • Conduct cycle counts, inventory audits, and inventory reconciliations to ensure inventory integrity. • Verify material movement documentation and ensure accurate physical and system transactions. • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. • Maintain inventory organization through proper bin management, FIFO practices, and material storage standards. • Assist in training and supporting Material Handler I team members on material handling and inventory control processes. • Collaborate with Production, Planning, Inventory Control, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to resolve material-related issues and support operational goals. • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy, material flow, and operational efficiency. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to all company safety, quality, and security policies. • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: • Minimum Three (3) years of experience in material handling, inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, or manufacturing support required. • Experience working within ERP systems required; SAP experience strongly preferred. • Experience utilizing RF scanners (RF guns) for inventory transactions, material tracking, and warehouse operations required. • Forklift and pallet jack experience required; forklift certification or ability to obtain certification preferred. • Strong understanding of inventory control principles, cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, and material traceability. • Ability to analyze inventory discrepancies and assist in identifying root causes and corrective actions. • Basic computer skills and proficiency with inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications. • Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions with strong attention to detail. • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks for up to 10-12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation. • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation; mechanical lifting devices and team lifts may be utilized as needed.
