Job Summary**

The Shipping Clerk at Jabil, Inc. is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation, processing, and dispatch of outgoing shipments, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant.

Job Responsibilities**

* Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels, using Jabil's internal systems and external carrier platforms.
* Verify the accuracy of outgoing shipments against pick lists and invoices, ensuring correct quantities, product identification, and packaging.
* Pack and label products securely for shipment, adhering to Jabil's packaging standards and carrier requirements.
* Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery, scheduling shipments and resolving any logistical issues.
* Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks, to load and unload shipments safely and efficiently.
* Maintain accurate inventory records of outgoing products and shipping supplies.
* Communicate effectively with internal departments (e.g., production, customer service) regarding shipping status and discrepancies.
* Identify and report any damaged or missing goods during the shipping process.
* Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies related to shipping operations.
* Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.

Job Qualifications**

* High school diploma or equivalent.
* 1-2 years of experience in a shipping or warehouse environment, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
* Proficiency with shipping software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
* Experience with common shipping carriers and their online portals.
* Ability to operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack) and possess relevant certifications (or willingness to obtain).
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and physical inventory.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite).
* Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 pounds regularly.
