Job Summary:

Jabil is seeking a motivated and skilled individual for a Tooling Position within our dynamic and supportive environment. This role is crucial for maintaining and optimizing our manufacturing processes through expert tooling development, maintenance, and repair.

Job Responsibilities:

* Design, fabricate, modify, and repair a wide range of tooling, fixtures, and jigs used in manufacturing processes.
* Perform preventative maintenance on existing tooling to ensure optimal performance and extend lifespan.
* Troubleshoot tooling-related issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
* Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to understand tooling requirements and provide expert recommendations.
* Operate various machine shop equipment, including mills, lathes, grinders, and CNC machines, to create and refine tooling components.
* Inspect finished tooling to ensure adherence to specifications, tolerances, and quality standards.
* Maintain accurate records of tooling designs, modifications, and maintenance activities.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to tooling design, processes, and materials.
* Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Job Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or equivalent; a technical degree or certification in Tool & Die Making, Machining, or a related field is highly preferred.
* Proven experience (2+ years) in a tooling, mold making, or precision machining role within a manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
* Strong understanding of machining principles, materials, and measurement techniques.
* Familiarity with various machine shop equipment (manual and/or CNC).
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Commitment to safety and quality standards.
