JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Consultant – Solutions is responsible for supporting the development of differentiated procurement solutions, proposals, RFx responses, and sales pursuit materials for ProcureAbility’s internal stakeholders and external clients. This role works closely with the US Solutions Team, delivery leaders, subject matter experts, sales stakeholders, and leadership teams to translate client requirements into compelling procurement solutions and high-quality client-facing deliverables.

The Senior Consultant – Solutions will support both business development and sales solutioning activities. Business development responsibilities include supporting lead qualification, prospect research, sales campaign execution, market research, and pipeline documentation. Sales solutioning responsibilities include developing opportunity-level solution strategies, creating proposals, supporting pricing and commercial documentation, preparing RFx responses, and coordinating inputs from delivery and functional experts.

This position acts as a client-facing and internal consultant on ProcureAbility’s procurement services, capabilities, operating models, delivery approaches, and solution offerings. The role requires strong procurement understanding, excellent communication skills, PowerPoint and documentation expertise, and the ability to work across time zones with US-based and global stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports the development of differentiated procurement solutions for prospective and existing clients across procurement consulting, managed services, analytics, market intelligence, digital enablement, sourcing, category management, and procurement operations.
  • Works alongside the US Solutions Team to respond to RFPs, RFIs, proposals, sales presentations, client requests, and other pursuit-related deliverables.
  • Engages with prospects and internal sales stakeholders to understand client business needs, procurement pain points, buying priorities, and potential solution fit.
  • Supports client discovery discussions by listening to requirements, asking clarifying questions, documenting client needs, and identifying relevant ProcureAbility capabilities.
  • Translates client requirements into structured solution narratives, operating models, service descriptions, scope documents, process flows, and proposal content.
  • Develops high-quality, professional proposals, RFx responses, presentation decks, solution documents, case study inserts, executive summaries, and other sales collateral.
  • Coordinates with procurement delivery leaders and subject matter experts to gather inputs on delivery approach, staffing, methodology, assumptions, timelines, and value proposition.
  • Supports opportunity-level sales strategy by helping define the solutioning approach, win themes, differentiation, client messaging, delivery model, and commercial positioning.
  • Documents sales solutioning approach, pricing strategy, proposal assumptions, client notes, meeting outputs, action items, and key decisions throughout the sales cycle.
  • Supports the creation and maintenance of reusable solutioning assets, proposal templates, capability decks, service descriptions, standard responses, and knowledge repositories.
  • Conducts market research, company research, prospect research, procurement maturity research, and industry analysis to support sales pursuits and client conversations.
  • Assists in qualifying opportunities by assessing client fit, scope relevance, service alignment, procurement needs, potential deal size, and readiness to engage.
  • Supports the end-to-end sales cycle from inbound opportunity through proposal development, client presentations, follow-ups, negotiations, and closure.
  • Helps shorten the sales cycle by producing timely, accurate, and client-relevant solution materials.
  • Works with internal stakeholders to ensure solution quality, consistency, commercial viability, and alignment with ProcureAbility’s service offerings.
  • Interfaces with Legal, Finance, Sales, and Delivery teams to support contract triage, negotiation inputs, scope clarification, and proposal assumptions.
  • Maintains accurate opportunity documentation in CRM tools such as HubSpot, including pipeline notes, sales activities, proposal status, next steps, and forecasting inputs.
  • Supports sales metrics tracking, dashboard updates, reporting, and internal stakeholder communication related to pipeline and pursuit progress.
  • Drives standardization and continuous improvement in solutioning processes, proposal development, RFx response quality, sales documentation, and pursuit governance.
  • Supports internal review meetings, proposal readouts, pursuit strategy discussions, client presentation preparation, and executive briefings.
  • Helps develop strong storytelling and differentiated value propositions for C-suite and senior procurement stakeholders.
  • Represents ProcureAbility professionally in client interactions, conferences, webinars, and business development discussions as required.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Typically reports to Management. Direct supervisor job title(s) may include:
    Manager – Solutions, Senior Manager – Solutions, Director – Solutions, Director – Sales Solutioning, or Head of Solutions.
  • This role is generally an individual contributor position but may be required to coordinate workstreams with analysts, consultants, SMEs, delivery teams, or proposal support resources.
  • May provide guidance, coaching, review comments, and quality oversight to junior team members supporting proposal development, research, documentation, and CRM updates.
  • May lead specific pursuit workstreams, proposal sections, solution development activities, or internal coordination efforts depending on opportunity size and complexity.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement consulting, procurement operations, business development, sales solutioning, proposal development, or related professional services roles.
  • Experience working in or supporting the procurement consulting or procurement managed services environment.
  • Experience supporting US-based and global clients across different time zones.
  • Experience developing proposals, RFx responses, client presentations, sales collateral, and executive-ready documentation.
  • Experience supporting business development, lead qualification, solution design, opportunity pursuit, and sales cycle management.
  • Experience in procurement solution areas such as strategic sourcing, category management, procurement operations, supplier management, market intelligence, analytics, digital procurement, or managed services.
  • Experience supporting negotiations, contract reviews, scope definition, commercial assumptions, or contract administration is preferred.
  • Experience working with CRM tools such as HubSpot or similar pipeline management platforms is preferred.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong understanding of procurement functions, including sourcing, category management, supplier management, procurement operations, spend analytics, market intelligence, and procurement transformation.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement consulting and managed services delivery models.
  • Ability to understand client procurement challenges and translate them into practical, structured, and differentiated solutions.
  • Strong business development mindset with the ability to identify client needs, shape opportunities, and support sales conversion.
  • Excellent storytelling, proposal writing, documentation, and executive presentation skills.
  • Strong ability to create compelling PowerPoint presentations, solution documents, executive summaries, and RFx responses.

  • Ability to provide 6 or more hours of overlap with the US Eastern Time Zone.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, Engineering, Finance, or a related field required.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred but not mandatory.
  • Procurement, supply chain, sourcing, or consulting certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent credentials are preferred.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Prior experience in a procurement consulting, managed services, advisory, BPO, or professional services environment.
  • Experience supporting Fortune 500 or global enterprise clients.
  • Experience creating sales pursuit materials for procurement transformation, sourcing, category management, procurement operations, analytics, or digital procurement opportunities.
  • Experience working with senior procurement stakeholders such as CPOs, procurement VPs, category leaders, finance leaders, and transformation leaders.
  • Experience working with global delivery teams and distributed stakeholders.
  • Exposure to procurement technologies, analytics platforms, CRM tools, and digital procurement solutions.

WORKING CONDITIONS
