Job Summary:**

The Database Analyst at Jabil, Inc. will be responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and optimization of our database systems, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility to support critical business operations and decision-making.

Job Responsibilities:**

* Design, implement, and maintain complex relational and non-relational database systems, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
* Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views for data retrieval and manipulation.
* Perform routine database administration tasks, including backups, restores, patching, and performance tuning.
* Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
* Collaborate with application developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective database solutions.
* Develop and maintain documentation for database schemas, data models, and operational procedures.
* Implement and enforce data security policies and procedures, including access control, encryption, and auditing.
* Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
* Participate in data migration and integration projects.
* Stay current with emerging database technologies and best practices.

Job Qualifications:**

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* 3+ years of experience in database administration or development roles.
* Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with various database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
* Experience with database design, data modeling, and schema development.
* Familiarity with database performance monitoring and tuning tools.
* Knowledge of data backup, recovery, and security best practices.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Experience with cloud database services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database) is a plus.
