Job Summary**
As a Quality Engineer Tech at Jabil, Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products and processes. You will support quality initiatives, perform inspections, analyze data, and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
Job Responsibilities**
* Conduct in-process and final product inspections, ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications.
* Perform various quality tests and measurements using appropriate tools and equipment.
* Document inspection results, deviations, and non-conformances accurately and thoroughly.
* Assist in the investigation of quality issues, identifying root causes and supporting the implementation of corrective actions.
* Support the development and maintenance of quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and inspection plans.
* Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
* Collaborate with production, engineering, and other departments to resolve quality-related problems.
* Participate in internal audits and support external audit activities as required.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and process efficiency.
* Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures.
Job Qualifications**
* Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., Engineering Technology, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing) or equivalent practical experience.
* 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or quality assurance environment.
* Familiarity with quality control tools and techniques (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM, SPC).
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Knowledge of ISO 9001 or other relevant quality management systems is a plus.
* Experience with statistical process control (SPC) software or data analysis tools is an advantage.
