Job Title: Material Handler III
Location: Florence, KY
Employment Type: Full Time
Reports To: Supervisor, Inventory Operations
Position Summary
6 p.m. to 6a.m. Sunday through Tuesday & every other Wednesday. In a climate-controlled building. With a 15% in pay for working 3rd.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Handler III to join our operations team. This role operates under minimal supervision and serves as the lead in the absence of the Supervisor. The ideal candidate will ensure SAP system accuracy, support multiple inventory functions, and act as a liaison between Production Control, Production Management, and the production line to resolve inventory-related issues.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Operations & SAP Accuracy
- Maintain accurate inventory records in SAP at all times.
- Reconcile inventory variances and perform necessary adjustments.
- Report line record accuracy to Supervisor and Manager.
Functional Support (Must be proficient in at least 3 areas):
- RTS (Return to Stock)
- Stockroom Operations
- Cycle Counts
- WIP Support
- Shipping
- Receiving
- Receiving Inspection
Stockroom / RTS Duties
- Use RF scanners to put away material and verify transactions in SAP.
- Pull and split kits per system procedures; scan kits and pull shortages.
- Count returned materials to ensure system accuracy.
- Maintain organized box build areas and replenish kanbans.
Receiving & Inspection
- Validate deliveries against bills of lading and packing slips.
- Perform receipt-to-dock transactions for production materials.
- Conduct inspections per ISO procedures and inspection plans.
- Execute SAP transactions and inventory adjustments.
Shipping
- Manage domestic and international shipping procedures and documentation.
- Schedule transportation carriers per corporate guidelines.
- Support month-end shipments, including extended hours as needed.
Other Duties
- Perform physical and system movements of materials.
- Complete material disposition reports and backflush materials in ERP.
- Operate material handling equipment as required.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Strong understanding of inventory control processes and SAP.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows and advanced PC skills.
- Effective communication skills with ability to present information clearly.
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, memos, and visual aids.
- IPC-A-610 certification (or willingness to obtain and maintain annually).
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with ISO procedures and quality control standards.
- Experience using RF scanners and ERP systems.
