Jabil Inc. Diagnostic Test Engineer

Job Summary

As a Diagnostic Test Engineer at Jabil Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our electronic products. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive test strategies and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve product defects efficiently.

Job Responsibilities

* Design, develop, and implement automated test programs and diagnostic routines for complex electronic assemblies and systems.
* Collaborate with design engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to define test requirements and develop appropriate test methodologies.
* Analyze test data and failure modes to identify root causes of product defects and recommend corrective actions.
* Develop and maintain test fixtures, equipment, and software necessary for product testing and diagnostics.
* Perform debugging and troubleshooting of electronic circuits and systems down to the component level.
* Optimize existing test processes for efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.
* Generate detailed test reports, including test results, failure analysis, and recommendations.
* Participate in new product introduction (NPI) activities, ensuring testability is considered throughout the design lifecycle.
* Provide technical support and training to manufacturing and test technicians.
* Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, new technologies, and testing methodologies.

Job Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
* 3+ years of experience in diagnostic test engineering, product testing, or a similar role within an electronics manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency in developing test software using languages such as Python, C++, LabVIEW, or equivalent.
* Strong understanding of digital and analog circuits, microcontrollers, and embedded systems.
* Experience with various test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers.
* Familiarity with manufacturing test processes, including ICT (In-Circuit Test), FCT (Functional Test), and environmental testing.
* Ability to read and interpret schematics, datasheets, and technical documentation.
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
* Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis tools is a plus.
* Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory compliance relevant to electronics manufacturing.
