JOB SUMMARY

To assist the QA Manager in ensuring best practices pertaining to the use of quality tools are driven into all areas of quality production, with primary focus on the manufacturing floor for all continental shift supporting staff, Supervisors, Shift Engineers, and respective DL personnel.

Drive the training and proper use of quality tools at CVG.

Recruiting of Quality Department staff.

Planning for the future/defining the role of the QA Department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Leadership & Management Responsibilities
    • Monitor/evaluate level of involvement of QA Department activities and effects on a continual basis, ensure best in class practices, standard work and continuous improvement activities are adhered to.
    • Participate in planning long term/short term functions of the department to support Jabil’s production scheduling.
    • Manage all Quality Department operational metrics to drive continuous improvement. Especially OBA & FNI.
    • Establish clear measurable goals and objectives by which to determine individual and team results (i.e. operational metrics, results against project timelines, training documentation, attendance records, knowledge of operational roles and responsibilities, personal development goals).
  • Employee and Team Development
    • Evaluate/schedule/prepare training activities.
    • Recruit, lead, coach, manage, QA Department staff for continental shift support.
    • Express pride in staff and encourage them to feel good about their accomplishments.
    • Monitor team member turnover; identify key factors that can be improved; make improvements
    • Create and manage succession plans for Quality function.
  • General
    • Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by management.
    • Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
    • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
·         Proficient and knowledgeable in areas related to the Quality Assurance function.
·         Working knowledge of servers, rack assemblies and PCB assembly process (IPC), results orientated attitude, achieve through team concept skills / activities.
·         Proven track record of successful management accomplishments, implementing and management continuous productivity and cost reduction programs.
·         Strong and convincing communication skills.
·         Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

·         2 Year Degree or BA/BS preferred.
·         5 years’ experience in quality related field.
·         Additional 2 years managerial experience.


·         Or a combination of education, experience and/or training.
