Role Summary

Implementation and maintenance of an Environmental Management System (EMS) to ensure compliance with both ISO 14001 & 45001 Standards. Key responsibilities include developing environmental policies, monitoring performance, conducting internal audits, managing environmental risks, ensuring legal compliance, and communicating objectives to all staff.

Duties include developing implementation strategies, designing and developing standards and procedures, undertaking site training and communication, defining the scope of the organisation, engaging leadership and keeping them updated throughout the process, aligning legal register to both environmental and safety requirements, identifying all risks and ensuring operational controls are identified and implemented. This role is a key position with sole responsibility for establishing the site ISO 140001 & 45001 standard implementation.

The role requires the program owner to fully design and implement both certifications by adopting the ISO PDCA principles within a 12-month period from date of commencement. Review existing Health Safety and Environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company, customer, and legal regulations

Responsibilities

· Define, develop and implement an Environmental, Health & Safety program that contributes to the campus implementation of both ISO 14001 & 45001 in line with both company site and customer strategic directions.

· Provide regular updates to site EHS and Ops Managers on the execution and progress of the standards implementation across the site.

· Assure that policies and procedures and work instructions are efficient and not redundant.

· Offer new ideas and suggestions for improvement. Identify and implement new practices and processes that are “best in field.

· Implement the Environmental, Health, And Safety (EHS) activities in support of ISO 14000 and 450001 programs. Influence various functional groups (Facilities, Operations, Quality, Material Management and Purchasing under a single focus to ensure effective execution.

· Demonstrate a commitment to customer service; anticipate, meet, and exceed customer expectations by adopting a systematic approach to full implementation while making the customer needs a priority

· Provide all necessary training and communication programs

· Establish new measurement monitoring systems to ensure PDCA philosophy is being administered.

· Oversee both phase 1 and phase 2 certification assessments in line with external certification boards requirements.

· Exchange knowledge and information with other Jabil facilities to ensure best practices are shared throughout the Jabil organization.

· Ensure all sensitive and confidential information is handled appropriately. Stay up to date on environmental issues.

Knowledge Requirements

· Process owner must have a mix of technical, managerial and interpersonal skills as well as a strong working knowledge of ISO 14001 &45001 Standard and system.

· Preferably be a lead ISO auditor for both 140001 & 450001

· Work with the external certification board to ensure all standard aspects have been implemented

· Strong knowledge and understanding of both legal and regulatory compliance

· Identify and implement all required risk assessments and hazard identification controls

· Have strong data analytical and monitoring skills to set site KPI in line with site and customer expectations

· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule.

· Proven track record of successful project and change management accomplishments, implementing and management continuous productivity.

· Strong acknowledge and understanding of the practical implementation of both standards including good communication skills.

Education & Experience requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in environmental, Health and Safety or equivalent preferred.

· 5 years’ experience in implementation / system management
